Thinking about buying a bungalow. Problem is that it has a lead water main, which of course leads to some questions:

1. Are there other pipes beside the main which are likely to be made of lead?
2. If all the other pipes are galvanized/copper, can they have been contaminated by a residue of lead from the main over the years?

We have an 11 month old, so any lead in the water is really unacceptable to us.
