Hello and thank you.
I recently purchased a home in Auburn, MI. We know it dates back to at least 1926 (still doing reseach). Until now I really knew very little about American Craftsman, Arts & Crafts, Mission style, Stickley, Greene & Greene and so on. I knew I liked the looks of the house and it's simple, clean style. I love brick homes and this one really appealed to me. Since I've been in it (purchased in Jan., '11) I've been researching it's history and learning more and more about the American Craftsman style. I found a 2003 copy of A.B. at an antiques mall that I have a booth at. I purchased the copy and it seems I couldn't put it down. I've since purchased 4 more copies from Ebay and no matter how much I look at them it seems like I'm finding new things. I have to admit, until now I've been a "Mid Century" kinda guy. I like the colors and design of the '50s and 60's era, but for some reason I've always wanted a Mission (Morris) chair. I guess I now know why. Apparently there was a deep rooted "Arts & Crafts" guy inside of me that has finally been let loose. Thank you A.B for showing me the way.
