Neighborhood Bungalow
The link below shows a home near mine. I always wondered what it looked like inside. Well, now that it's for sale, I can see that it's everything I thought it would be. And it's in one of the nicest historical districts in town. Pretty hefty price tag, though. Re: Neighborhood Bungalow
What a beautiful home! I think I need to move up north! I just bought a home in California for more than twice that amount and it isn't nearly as nice.

Re: Neighborhood Bungalow
I don't know Spokane prices, but I assume they are similar to Utah, so the price is probably on the high end. Love the interior, don't love the exterior paint colors--but that, like all paint, can be changed. Incredible woodwork.

Re: Neighborhood Bungalow
It is so interesting to see the art glass window in the interior. It was on this forum that someone posted an old catalog page from a company that offered art glass windows in the 1920's. That window is on the page. In my business of making custom rugs, I have a client in a Chicago suburb who also has that design in their living room and we used it as inspiration for a rug. I am tickled to see that window all over the country.

Re: Neighborhood Bungalow
Love the woodwork and built-ins. The exterior is screaming for some character, though. In my neighborhood, that would be in the $500K range.

Re: Neighborhood Bungalow
That house is awesome!! If it were in my neighborhood the price would be higher. That's a great price for such a home. Makes me wish I were your neighbor.

Re: Neighborhood Bungalow
Here is a link to another home in a very prestigious part of town. This one seems to be more in the price range that everyone is talking about: http://www.windermere.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=Listing.ListingDetail&ListingID=15579172

Re: Neighborhood Bungalow
All I can say is Oh my God! Here in College Park, GA new bungalow homes are being built everywhere. I have yet to see one with authentic woodwork in the older homes though. Seems like more of the details were invested in Northern areas. But what do I know - I'm 1 year old at this.

Re: Neighborhood Bungalow
What great houses! A coworker's daughter moved to Spokane a year ago and loves it. She and her DH recently bought an older bungalow (a long-time rental) and are in the throes of rehabbing. I'm not sure where they are exactly, but he's a prof at Gonzaga and can bike top work. It seems like a great place to live.

Re: Neighborhood Bungalow
That second house is amazing. Even more amazing is that the real estate taxes are half what I pay for about the same size house! (I actually have a little less square footage)
