built-in room dividers, attic renovation
We are renovating the finished attic space in our 1924 Craftsman into a master bedroom and bath. The space is about 7'4" at its highest, but the ceiling slopes fairly sharply thereafter. We're trying to find some ideas for built-ins (either bookcases or other storage) that would help to divide the bed area from the rest of the room, but we'd like to partially preserve the open-space character of the room (so no new walls) as well as its historic character. We've seen some columned bookcase dividers (like this one:

Anyone have any ideas and links to photos?
My wife recalls seeing something along these lines in a recent issue of Am Bugalow magazine, perhaps with some glass shelves near the top and decorated with religious iconography or calligraphy? She's unable to remember anything but the impression that it made on her, which was grand. Ring any bells?
Very grateful for any help!
