I've been struggling with the question of how to remove the lead paint on my windows and now I feel much more confident about trying Removall. <br> <br>For anyone who is trying to find Removall, I found the company's customer service number helpful - 1 (800) 663-9274 - they were able to tell me who sold it in my area. Apparently the product is sometimes sold by paint stores under their own brand names, but it's the same stuff. Also, Miller's Bros. The product seemed to have extremely high safety for humans, pets and garden since it is nontoxic, removes paint easily, and with only the same issues as you would have with any other product (messy, etc.) Sounds like a winner! <br> <br>I can't wait to try it on a million things I have that could use Removall. Barbara, thanks for the review. I just got home from a paint store (three towns over) with my gallon of Removall 310 ($48/gallon). The 800 Removall number gave me the name of a store that sold the stuff under their own label. There was a bit of a panic when I got home and read the label telling me the mixture was toxic and harmful to skin and if inhaled......but a phone call to Removall headquarters assured me that these warning were CYA on behalf of the paint store. <br> <br>SO, my question...... Any ideas on how I can keep the chemical off of my ceramic tile (the window that I will be working has tile that runs up to its edge)? Also, how do you folks that work on woodwork in place keep the chemicals off of your wood floors?

I double tape as per the manufacturer recommendation, and for floors I bought a roll of that heavy duty cardboard paper stuff and tape that down. <br> <br>Let me know how you like the 310 - sounds a lot easier than the spray cans and it's gotten great reviews on other boards. <br> <br>Barbara

Yes Yes, please let us know how the 310 works! Barbara's review of the 330 was great, and I'm dying to know about the newest 310. We've got TONS of board and batten paneling in our living-dining rooms that has three (pretty tame really) layers of paint and we're anxious to get started with the stripping. <br> <br>Is this the thicker brush on version that Barbara was talking about? <br> <br>Good luck to you!! <br>~Erin

Suzanne-where oh where did you find the Removall?? My local Sherwin Williams was unable to track it down even after I gave them infomation from the Removall website. I've got a garage full of storm windows waiting to be stripped and sure would like to give this stuff a try. Does anyone know which formula would be best for exterior paint removal (approx 5-6 coats)? Cris <br>

I called the 800-number at www.removal.com and they gave me a few names. I ended up purchasing it at ICI Paints in Burnsville (they call it HydroStrip 503). Pittsburg Paints also is supposed to carry it. I didn't realize that I had the new stuff.....I will post on how it works for me once I get to that window.

mask off the areas you don't want to remover to get on with heavy paper and blue painter's tape. Painter's tape has a coating on the outside that the remover won't soak through, unlike regular masking tape.

Thanks Suzanne and Sarah- I actually had call the 800#--the sales rep acted like she had never heard of Minnesota(even though I believe the company is based in Canada). I was told there wasn't a distributor within 100mi of Rochester (Burnsville is approx. 75mi). I'll try again--maybe the next rep will be more knowledgeable! I just wonder if this product is worth a long distance drive and the high price?

It may be a while before I get busy and use the stuff. I'm anxious to use it on my bathroom window sash, etc. with three coats of paint (two lead based).....but need to find time to work on it uninterrupted. Maybe I'll try it on my bathroom door first..... Of course, I'll post my findings. <br> <br>The 800 # was a little "confused" when I called them too. I dealt directly with the owner and he was very friendly and helpful. <br> <br>I was ordering the product to strip window trim. He suggested the 310 even though it is supposed to be sprayed on. He told me to paint it on thickly with a brush. <br> <br>I haven't tried it yet... <br> <br>Sedonia
