I give up. What style is my house?
This is my wonderful new house. I had nothing left to do on my 1929 Tudor Bungalow, so have taken on this 1925 cutie.
I consider myself pretty architecturally savvy, but I'm stuck! It's rectangular (almost square), 2-1/2 stories of stucco over terra cotta brick. Sort of a Cotswald Cottage feel. But the fan light and door trim are a bit Georgian-federal-colonial revival, as are the half-round windows in each gable end.
But there is an exterior integrated archway with iron gate at the end of the sunroom, and an arch with iron trim in the interior stairway -- English cottage again. Just to make things interesting, there is a large stained-glass window in the stairway.
Ideas, anyone?

It is a cutie...and congratulations! I'm stumped and I work with architects! It's something like a four square lacking gables with a federal twist but I'm guessing it's one of those odd hybrids where they couldn't quite decide what it was supposed to be - colonial, cottage, tudor, or whatever so they'd put in a little of all of the above - pretty popular in the 20's. Have a "funky" one myself and love it.
