Uncovered papers in my bungalow, in most rooms they were fabric backed, that were tacked into place, they were on the walls as well as ceilings. To me, they were the original papers of this house, they had been preserved by the previous owners putting paneling over them, so 100 years later I can see what was actually there "in the beginning", and I am amazed.

I have attached a photos of one of the papers and I am trying to find origins of this and other papers used in my house, more so for the history of them. I am not sure how to restore the walls, so at this moment, I am more interested in learning the history and maybe just creating shadow boxes that showcase the old papers and the history of the home.

What is the thin strip of wallpaper between wall and ceiling called? I cannot remember what one calls the piece of wallpaper between the actual wallpaper and the ceiling is called, does anybody have any ideas? Typically it goes around the entire room and is under a foot in height.
